our story

Most kitchens have a drawer of towels nobody likes. Thin printed ones that smear drinking glasses. A thick terry one that takes all day to dry. A souvenir towel too nice to use.

We started Serene Halo with the opposite idea: a short list of towels, each woven for a job. Waffle for wet hands and pans. Plain weave for polishing glass. Flour sack for bread. Linen-cotton because it dries fast and looks better with age.

Everything is woven rather than printed, so patterns don't fade. Every item carries a label with its fibre, size and how to wash it, and we print the same label on the site so you know what you're getting before it arrives.
